Indie VTuber GEEGA is the latest VTuber to join the talent roster of US-based VTuber agency VShojo. The agency previously teased this debut days after they concluded their very first 3D live concert, titled Candy Pop Explosion.
GEEGA is a popular independent VTuber who boasts over 80,000 followers on Twitch, and over 30,000 followers each on YouTube and Twitter. Prior to joining the agency, she frequently collaborated with its talents over the past few months
In a later highlights video she uploaded, she explained that she joined VShojo due to the fact that she has made friends with the talents over time. In addition, she said that by joining the agency, she will now have a much more efficient way of doing more initiatives she had planned even as an indie. “I’m here because a lot of my friends are here. I’m here because I sat and thought really long and hard about this, and spent months literally months working on making this work and here we are,” she stated.
She now joins the existing roster of VShojo talents that includes Ironmouse, Froot, Zentreya, Projekt Melody, Hime Hajime, Haruka Karibu, Kson, and Amemiya Nazuna. Recently, talents Silvervale and Veibae, as well as Nyanners, left the agency to pursue their VTubing activities independently.
VShojo was founded by chief executive officer Justin “GunRun” Ignacio and chief technology officer Philip “MowtenDoo” Fortunat. In March 2022, the agency raised US$11m in funding aimed at strengthening the company’s presence worldwide. The funding includes participation in major gaming and anime culture conventions, as well as upcoming talent recruitments to expand content production.
