Silvervale and Veibae Leave VShojo, Will Continue as Independent VTubers

VShojo, a US-based VTuber agency, has announced that Silvervale and Veibae have parted ways with the company. The announcement was made on the agency’s official Twitter page.

According to the agency, both Silvervale and Veibae have chosen to not renew their contracts with VShojo. Following the departure, the VTubers will continue their journey as independent VTubers and will retain their models and other assets as part of their intellectual property (IP).

Silvervale started out as an indie VTuber in August 2019 under the streamer name X_Silvervale_X. She joined VShojo on November 24, 2020. As of this writing, she has over 400,000 followers on Twitch and over 400,000 followers on Twitter. Veibae also started as an indie VTuber in April 2020 before joining the agency as well on the same month as Silvervale. Veibai currently has over 1,000,000 followers on Twitch and over 500,000 on Twitter.

VShojo was founded by chief executive officer Justin “GunRun” Ignacio and chief technology officer Philip “MowtenDoo” Fortunat. In an interview with Anime Corner, Ignacio said that an overarching objective of VShojo’s operations is to streamline the process for collaboration of VTubers and brands.

While working with VTubers to grow their channels, I noticed that brands were not aware of the VTubing space even though it has a significantly large audience. Our goal is to help the VTuber community understand their value by educating brands and potential sponsors about the size of the VTubing market and the impact they can make given its incredibly supportive fandom.

Following Silvervale and Veibae’s departure, the remaining talents at VShojo include Ironmouse, Froot, Zentreya, Projekt Melody, Nyanner, Hime Hajime, Haruka Karibu, Kson, and Amemiya Nazuna.

VShojo has also raised US$11m in funding in March 2022 – the funds are aimed at strengthening company’s presence worldwide. The funding includes participation in major gaming and anime culture conventions, as well as upcoming talent recruitments to expand content production.
