Hence, players were expecting for miHoYo to give them unique rewards in commemoration of the game’s first anniversary. The Chinese video game creator miHoYo prepared some programs for the players in response to this milestone. However, the players were not happy about it, and as a result, they review bombed the game by giving it a 1-star rating on the Google Play Store.

On September 30, 2021, the players started to receive the Genshin Impact anniversary rewards via email in-game. The rewards consisted of 400 primogems and an exclusive wind glider. The players will receive new rewards every day until October 3, 2021.
