Genshin Impact revealed a new animated short introducing Shirasagi Himegimi, who is better known among the players as Kamisato Ayaka. Ayaka recounts her childhood and training with her brother Ayato, as well as the moment Shirasagi Himegimi was born:
The animated short is narrated by Ayaka – Saori Hayami in the Japanese voiceover and Erica Mendez in the English version. Ayaka’s brother, Ayato also appears. He is voiced by Akira Ishida in the Japanese version and Chris Hackney in English. The siblings are shown taking over their duties after their parents’ deaths.

No matter how splendid the blooming flowers are, there will always come a day when they must face the severe test of winter. Even ice and snow must give way, but the evergreen trees are still standing.
When the clouds part and snow melts, that’s how one knows that spring has come.
Genshin Impact by MiHoYo is currently on the 2.6 version. The update introduced Kamisato Ayato as a playable character of the 5* rarity, along with a new area called Chasm. The continuation of the Archon Quest with Dainsleif was set in the Chasm and it delivered some quite dark revelations. The later part of the update focused on an Inazuma-centric event that featured some fan-favorite characters from both Mondstadt and Liyue – Albedo, Klee, and Xingqiu. The second half of the update will feature an Ayaka banner, along with her signature weapon Mistsplitter Reforged.
