HoYoverse brought major announcements to Gamescom 2025, featuring the first in-game trailer of the new Genshin Impact character Flins and its first Nod-Krai-themed booth experience. The reveal introduces Flins, a Lightkeeper warrior tied to the game’s upcoming expansion, and highlights the next chapter of exploration in Teyvat.
The new trailer, “A Lantern in the Night,” shows Flins facing the threat of the Wild Hunt, offering players a first look at the character’s role in Nod-Krai. This marks the beginning of a new arc in the game, and you can watch the trailer below (available in both English and Japanese). Yuichi Nakamura voices Flins in the Japanese version, which you can watch below.

Visitors at Koelnmesse in Cologne can explore the Nod-Krai booth, located in Hall 6. Designed as a world-first experience, it features themed displays, live performances, cosplay, exclusive merchandise, and an interactive challenge that lets players team up with Flins against the Wild Hunt. Fans can also try specialty items from the HoYoverse Café menu, while Rocket Beans TV offers live-streamed coverage for those following from home.
Running from August 20 to 24, the booth is supported by UGREEN and HOLY. In addition, players can test the current summer update at Samsung’s booth in Hall 9, with access to the game across PlayStation 5, PC, and mobile platforms.
Genshin Impact has maintained a strong presence at Gamescom for five consecutive years, and this year’s spotlight is on Nod-Krai. The first playable Nod-Krai character, Ineffa, arrived with Version 5.8 on July 30 alongside the Easybreeze Holiday Resort.
