Girls Band Cry 2-Part Compilation Movie Reveals Visual and Release Date

GIRLS BAND CRY has revealed a visual and release date for its 2-part movie compilation, which will cover the TV anime season. The announcement was made at the in-story band TOGENASHI TOGEARI’s solo live concert held today. The original anime was animated by Toei Animation and ran for 13 episodes from April to June of this year. It began streaming on Crunchyroll in October 2024.

The movie will be split into the following 2 parts:

Part 1: Seishun Kyosokyoku (Youth Frenzy Song), premieres October 3, 2025

Part 2: Naa, Mirai. (Hey, Future.), premieres November 14, 2025

It was also announced that a new music video from TOGENASHI TOGEARI will premiere on March 12, while the original soundtrack from the anime will be available for digital streaming starting March 20.

The band consists of the following members:

  • Rina (Iseri Nina) – Vocals
  • Yuuri (Kawaragi Momoka) – Guitar
  • Mirei (Awa Subaru) – Drums
  • Natsu (Ebizuka Tomo) – Keyboard
  • Shurias (Rupa) – Bass

The anime was voted as the best original anime in our Spring 2024 Anime Awards. Kazuo Sakai directed it, with Kenji Tamai as the music composer and Nari as the character designs.

The official YouTube channel for the anime project describes its plot as:
The main character drops out of high school in her second year, and aims at entering a university while working alone in Tokyo.
A girl is betrayed by her friends and doesn’t know what to do.
Another girl is abandoned by her parents, and tries to survive in the city by doing part-time jobs.
This world lets us down all the time.
Nothing goes as planned.
But we want something that we can continue to like.
We believe there’s a place where we belong. That’s why we sing.

video game adaptation was also recently announced.
