After a five-year run, Kazuki Amamiya’s time-reset romance light novel, Haibara’s Teenage New Game+, has concluded its main story. The recently released 11th volume will be the penultimate of the series, with an upcoming 12th volume epilogue announced by Kazuki-sensei.
Hobby Japan has released Haibara’s Teenage New Game+ via their HJ Bunko imprint since December 2021. The light novel features illustrations by Gin. Kadokawa Corp’s J-Novel Club releases the English translation of the light novel.
Misaomaru adapted Haibara-kun no Tsuyokute Seishun New Game into a full-coloured manga. Hobby Japan’s Comic Fire website serialized it from June 2023 to August 2024. Comochiya later illustrated a sequel manga in December 2024; Comic Fire also serialized that title.
Haibara’s Teenage New Game+ Synopsis
Haibara-kun no Tsuyokute Seishun New Game follows Natsuki Haibara, a university student whose golden days are far behind him. Lamentably, those past golden days were more of a grey colour, and so Natsuki wastes many a day on thoughts of regret. But when he suddenly wakes up in his high school body and living his old life, Natsuki vows to fully live his life this time. However, with another chance at gaining the friendship and romance he wanted, Natsuki soon learns that his decision now brings new consequences.
Studio Comet (A Salad Bowl of Eccentrics, Possibly the Greatest Alchemist of All Time) adapted Haibara’s Teenage New Game+ into a TV anime. Crunchyroll is currently simulcasting the Misuzu Hoshino-directed anime.
