Benriya Saitou-san, Isekai ni Iku (Handyman Saitou-san in Another World) manga series is getting an anime adaptation. The manga, written by Kazutomo Ichitomo, is currently being serialized on Kadokawa’s ComicWalker online reading service. The isekai manga currently has 5 volumes, with 6th one scheduled for January 21 release.
The plot follows Saitou, a handyman who spends his life doing what is “right”. However, one day he wakes up and realizes that he reincarnated into another world. There, he gets a do-over and even fights to clear dungeons with his friends. His friends include La Elsa, a tsundere warrior, Morlock, a perverted wizard who often forgets spells, and a cute-looking (money-grubbing) fairy. Even though he is not “special” in the new world, Saitou still manages to use the handyman skills from his previous life to advance in the dungeons and help his party – which makes him feel appreciated.
The author Kazutomo Ichitomo revealed a special illustration to celebrate the anime announcement:
Kadokawa’s official YouTube channel offers a “trial-reading” preview of the manga, which allows the readers to check out the story and the art:
