High School DxD Junior High Spin-Off Begins Manga Adaptation on April 9

A new High School DxD manga got an April 9 release date, adapting the Junior High DxD spin-off series rather than the main story. The upcoming manga will be drawn by ojo, based on the novel written by Rippu Shinonome. It will be serialized in Monthly Dragon Age, starting with the May 2025 issue.

The story takes place after Volume 10 of the original light novel series. This also means it takes place after the final anime season (Season 4: High School DxD Hero), which covered the story until the end of Sairaorg’s Rating Game.

Unlike the main series, Junior High DxD is the first novel not written by the original creator Ichiei Ishibumi, though he supervised the project. Additionally, this is the only story so far without Issei Hyodo as a central character. Volume 2 of the novel released on November 20, 2024.
