The game is developed by ginolabo and published by Kodansha. It gives players 5 playable characters: Natsu, Lucy, Gray, Erza and Wendy, each with special abilities. It features an original story, which is described:
Natsu and Happy find a mysterious door that suddenly appeared below the guild.
On the other side of that door lies a strange dungeon that robs any intruders of their abilities.
There they are saved from monsters by Rabi. Together they try to reach the deepest part of the dungeon to find Rabi’s friends.

Hiro Mashima wrote and drew the Fairy Tail manga, which was serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine from August 2006 to July 2017. Its sequel, Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest, features art by Atsuo Ueda and is currently ongoing. It also has the ongoing anime adaptation.

Besides mentioning that he paid to support FAIRY TAIL: DUNGEONS, Hiro Mashima also thanked everyone for playing the game and confirmed that he’s a player himself.
