In the April 2021 edition of Monthly G Fantasy, the manga by HERO and Daisuke Hagiwara “Horimiya” has officially ended. Chapter 122 was the final one, and it released in Japan today on March 18. Having started serialization on October 18. 2011, it means that it has run for exactly 9 years and 5 months! Kyouko and Izumi are two classmates who each lead a double life: the popular and talented Kyouko cares for her little brother by herself while her parents are away, and the quiet, bespectacled Izumi hides his many piercings and tattoos at school. After accidentally discovering each other’s secrets the pair becomes fast friends, and together, they begin to navigate their new relationship together amongst unknowing peers and love rivals alike.

Meanwhile, the anime has aired 10 episodes and is currently ongoing. It will have a total of 13 episodes, and studio CloverWorks is in charge of the production. They are also behind Wonder Egg Priority and the 2nd season of The Promised Neverland this season!
Horimiya manga has run for over 9 years, and although it ended, we should all congratulate HERO, Daisuke Hagiwara and all the staff involved on the hugely successful run!
