The supernatural TV anime Hoshikuzu Telepath revealed on Thursday a visual and its staff alongside a 2023 premiere date. An official website dedicated to the anime series has also been opened.
Studio Gokumi (Yuki Yuna is a Hero) is animating the series with Kaori (The Quintessential Quintuplets ∬) and Natsuko Takahashi (Comic Girls) acting as directors and in charge of supervising the series composition. Takahiro Sakai (Ms. Vampire Who Lives In My Neighborhood) is adapting the character designs from the manga and is also serving as chief animation director.
Hoshikuzu Telepathis a four-panel manga series written and illustrated by Rasuko Okuma. It has been serialized in Houbunsha’s seinen manga magazine Manga Time Kirara since May 2019 and currently has 3 volumes in circulation. The manga was nominated for Best Printed Manga in the seventh “Next Manga Awards” in 2021.
The series follows a coming of age story of a shy girl named Umika Konohoshi, who is having a hard time socializing with others and making friends. One day, a transfer student named Yu Akeuchi appears, who turns out to be an alien who can read others’ feelings by touching their foreheads.
The anime adaptation of Hoshikuzu Telepath was previously announced with a visual in October 2022.
