HoYoverse has opened sign-ups for a new closed beta test for its upcoming cozy life simulation game Petit Planet. The test, titled the Stardrift Test, is scheduled to begin on April 21 and will be available on PC, iOS, and Android.
In Petit Planet, players take on the role of a Planet Tender, managing their own world within a larger interconnected galaxy. The game focuses on creative activities and social interactions, allowing players to farm, fish, cook, decorate their homes, and shape their planetary landscapes while interacting with companions known as Neighbors.
The upcoming beta will introduce new Neighbors, additional gameplay activities, and expanded features across several in-game systems. Updates include enhancements to the Starsea Voyage exploration feature and new activities within the Galactic Bazaar, a social hub where players can gather with others for events such as auctions, fortune-telling, dancing, and other interactions.
Using the Starsea Map, players can travel with their Neighbors to explore various islets across the galaxy. Interactions with characters and environments contribute to the growth of the player’s world through a force known as Luca, described as the vitality connecting all things in the universe. As relationships deepen and planets develop, new landscapes and environmental changes occur.
The Stardrift Test will be open to selected applicants who complete the sign-up survey on the game’s official website. Players can also pre-register for the game to receive in-game rewards.
Additional platforms for Petit Planet are currently in development.
HoYoverse is known for titles including Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, Honkai Impact 3rd, Tears of Themis, and Zenless Zone Zero.
