Hulu is set to bring an immersive anime-themed activation to Anime Expo 2025 with the debut of Hulu Animayhem City, a modern metropolis-inspired experience designed for fans of some of the platform’s most popular anime titles. The activation will run from July 3 to July 6 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
Hulu Animayhem City will feature interactive elements and immersive environments based on titles including Naruto Shippuden, Dan Da Dan, Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War, and One Punch Man. The installation aims to bring anime fandom to life with photo opportunities, video takeovers, and exclusive memorabilia, all designed to celebrate the stories and characters streaming on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ for bundle subscribers.
At the heart of the activation will be Shibuya Crossing, a stylized city intersection filled with 2D cutout characters from a range of anime titles streaming on Hulu. The space will serve as a hub for fans to take photos and watch videos from the four featured series and others from Hulu’s increasing anime catalog.
The individual series that will be represented through dedicated photo opportunities are:
- One Punch Man: Guests can pose alongside characters such as Saitama, Genos, Tornado, Garo, Silver Fang, and Superalloy Black Luster in a themed display.
- Dan Da Dan: Visitors are encouraged to “run” with protagonists Momo and Okarun in a dimensional photo op featuring the Earthbound Spirit Crab, a reference to the antagonist Turbo Granny.
- Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War: Fans can stand with characters like Ichigo, Orihime, and Uryu, using props to recreate iconic moments from the series.
- Naruto Shippuden: A scenic setup in the Valley of the End allows attendees to pose with Naruto, Sasuke, Kakashi, Sakura, and Itachi.
The city will also include two Hulu Animayhem City Lounge spaces, offering attendees a place to relax. The lounges will feature cafe seating, branded décor, and mobile device charging stations.
All featured series are currently available on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ for bundle subscribers.
