Hunter x Hunter is getting its first volume release in almost two years with Volume 38 slated to come out on September 4. The series is currently on hiatus due to the author’s health issues while also awaiting news on the new publication format. In December of 2022, it was revealed that it will no longer be serialized weekly in the Shonen Jump magazine. The last volume was released in November 2022.
Yoshihiro Togashi so far published 400 chapters of the manga. He recently started updating his Twitter/X account again and it appears that he is working on completing chapters up to 410.
Hunter x Hunter began serialization in 1998 in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump. Togashi has been struggling with health issues related to back pain caused by an injury, leading to the manga often going on hiatus.
