I’m a Behemoth, an S-Ranked Monster, but Mistaken for a Cat, I Live as an Elf Girl’s Pet anime revealed the second key visual and main trailer, along with a January 4, 2025 premiere date. The anime will be animated by studios ZERO-G and Saber Works.
The anime revealed the first trailer in October. It featured the opening theme song is “Saijoukyu no Kokoro” (The Highest-Grade Heart) by Nonoha Obuchi, who also voices Lilyin the anime.
The new trailer has now introduced the ending theme song “Rimi” by Poka Poka Ion (Nao Toyama and Kiyono Yasuno). You can check it out below.
The known voice cast for the I’m a Behemoth, an S-Ranked Monster anime now consists of the following members:
- Tasuku Hatanaka as Tama
- Riho Sugiyama as Tama (cat)
- Hinaki Yano as Aria
- Tomoro Kusunoki as Vulcan
- Hitomi Ueda as Stella
- Nonoha Obuchi as Lily
- Yu Wakui as Feri

Tetsuo Hirakawa will direct the anime, with Tomoyuki Abe as the character designer and Kanichi Kato in charge of the series composition. Nozomo Ginyoku writes the I’m a Behemoth, an S-Ranked Monster, but Mistaken for a Cat, I Live as an Elf Girl’s Pet light novel series, which features illustrations by Mitsuki Yano.
The light novel was first published on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website in August 2017 before Micro Magazine acquired it and serialized it under its GC Novels imprint. The manga adaptation is drawn by Taro Shinonome and serialized by Hakusensha.
Yen Press has licensed the manga in English. The story follows a proud knight after he gets reincarnated as an S-ranked behemoth. He looks like an adorable kitten and so he gets taken in by a beautiful elf as a pet, and so he decides to fight to protect her.
