The Japanese release of the Chinese donghua Dragon Raja (Long Zu) has been announced for this April. This officially confirms a recent teaser announcement from Aniplex depicting one of the frames from the series for its livestream announcement. Xin Wang directed the trailer, animated by HANABARA Animation. Kohta Yamamoto, who worked on the donghua, also composed the music for the promotional video:
The main cast for the Japanese verion includes Daiki Yamashita as Mingfei Lu, Kaede Hondo as Motong Chen, and Ayumu Murase as Mingze Lu.
The anime, which will use the title Long Zu -The Blazing Dawn-, previously teased the plot as:

Dragon Raja (Long Zu) is based on a light novel series of the same name by Jiang Nan, which was first released in 2010. The donghua series aired from August to November 2022 with 16 episodes. Studio Garden Culture animated the series, with Tencent Penguin Pictures producing it. Xin Wang both directed and wrote its script. The theme songs include “Ivory Tower” by Hiroyuki Sawano featuring SennaRin as the opening theme, and “Yong Ye” by Hu Xia as the ending theme.
The Japanese release for the donghua series also confirmed 2023 media reports that Tencent Video and Aniplex will be distributing the series worldwide.
