Japanese boy band JO1 has performed their “Move The Soul” on The First Take’s YouTube channel. The song is known as the opening theme song for the Fanfare of Adolescence anime. The First Take is a music project that gathers artists and has them do a song in a single take.
The performance was part of The First Take’s 209th edition. This is not the first time that JO1 performed on the channel. Their songs “Bokura no Kisetsu” (207th edition), “Kimi no Koe” (77th edition), and “Mugendai” (74th edition) were featured in the past. The two latter songs were performed by Junki Kono.
Together with another JO1 member Tadashi Yonashiro, Kono performed the ending theme for the Fanfare of Adolescence, which was composed by Sawano Hiroyuki. A music video for the song was released recently on Sawano’s YouTube channel.
Fanfare of Adolescence premiered on April 2 this year. Studio Lay-duce is animating the series, while Makoto Kato is serving as the series’ director. Tomokatsu Nagasaku is listed as the chief animation director, and Hiro Kanzaki is doing the character designs. The series is available to watch on Crunchyroll and Ani-plus Asia.
