JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Announces JOJODAY Event Connecting the "Past" and "Future" of the Series

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure has announced a special event titled JOJODAY, describing it as “a fan event connecting the ‘past’ and ‘future'” of the series. The event will be held on April 12, 2025 and feature the appearances of Kazuyuki Okitsu (Jonathan Joestar), Daisuke Ono (Jotaro Kujo), and Junichi Suwabe (Leone Abbacchio). More details about the event will be announced at a later date.

Hirohiro Araki began JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure (JoJo no Kimyō na Boken) in 1987. It was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine until 2004, while it was transferred to Ultra Jump in 2005. The manga follows different protagonist with the nickname “JoJo,” and Part 9 is currently ongoing. The parts are:

  • Battle Tendency (1988–1989)
  • Stardust Crusaders (1989–1992)
  • Diamond Is Unbreakable (1992–1995)
  • Golden Wind (1995–1999)
  • Stone Ocean (1999–2003)
  • Steel Ball Run (2004–2011)
  • JoJolion (2011–2021)
  • The JoJoLands (2023–present)

Studio David Production has animated the first six parts, with the Stone Ocean anime releasing its final part in December 2022. VIZ Media will release the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Part 7 – Steel Ball Run manga in English in Summer 2025. They describe the story:
Paralyzed former jockey Johnny Joestar witnesses the mysterious power of Gyro Zeppeli before the famous Steel Ball Run race, launching his quest to regain mobility.

The latest manga partThe JoJoLands, began in February 2023, focusing on “one boy’s path to millionaire status in subtropical islands.”
