VIZ Media has announced the English release of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Part 7 – Steel Ball Run, the seventh part of Hirohiko Araki’s iconic manga series. The release date is set for Summer 2025, and you can see the cover art for its first volume below.
Hirohiro Araki began JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure (JoJo no Kimyō na Boken) in 1987. It was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine until 2004, while it was transferred to Ultra Jump in 2005. The manga follows different protagonist with the nickname “JoJo,” and Part 9 is currently ongoing. They have been:
- Phantom Blood (1987–1988)
- Battle Tendency (1988–1989)
- Stardust Crusaders (1989–1992)
- Diamond Is Unbreakable (1992–1995)
- Golden Wind (1995–1999)
- Stone Ocean (1999–2003)
- Steel Ball Run (2004–2011)
- JoJolion (2011–2021)
- The JoJoLands (2023–present)
Studio David Production has animated the first six parts, with the Stone Ocean anime releasing its final part in December 2022. The latest part began in February 2023, focusing on “one boy’s path to millionaire status in subtropical islands.”
VIZ Media describes the story for Part 7:
Paralyzed former jockey Johnny Joestar witnesses the mysterious power of Gyro Zeppeli before the famous Steel Ball Run race, launching his quest to regain mobility.
