Jujutsu Kaisen Details
Gege Akutami authored and illustrated the Jujutsu Kaisen manga throughout its six-year Shueisha Weekly Shonen Jump serialization. The series is a sequel to Gege’s Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical School (Jujutsu Kaisen 0).
The story follows Yuuji Itadori, a tin-foil-hat-wearing high-strangeness enthusiast.
When Itadoir-kun isn’t visiting his bedridden grandfather at the hospital, he’s tagging along with his school’s Paranormal Club. While the paranormal indulgences of most never yield results, Yuuji’s Occult Club hit the jackpot when they stumbled upon a finger belonging to the King of Curses, Sukuna Ryoumen. But their find soon placed them in harm’s way. And when horrors beyond human comprehension (also known as a Taco Bell bathroom) begin attacking them, Itadori-kun decides that swallowing Sukuna’s finger is the best course of action to get a handle on the terrors around them. That fatuous decision sets Yuuji on a non-stop course to becoming a Jujutsu Sorcerer.
Jujutsu Kaisen currently boasts a TV anime spanning two seasons and a theatrical film. The anime’s third season will air on Crunchyroll in January.
