Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 revealed a soundtrack illustration, which features Gojo. The OST, composed by Yoshimasa Terui, is set to release on January 24, 2024. The anime is currently airing its second arc, dedicated to the Shibuya Incident Arc. Earlier this week, a new visual was revealed.
The highly-anticipated second season of the adaptation began in July with Hidden Inventory/Premature Death arc, which focused on Geto and Suguru’s joint past. Studio MAPPA returned to animate the sequel, this time under the direction of Shota Goshozono. In addition to the TV anime, the franchise also has a prequel movie, Jujutsu Kaisen 0, which was also animated by the same studio. The plot takes place after the Hidden Inventory/Premature Death arc but before the events of the first season.
Jujutsu Kaisen is based on a manga by Gege Akutami that is currently being serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. The manga launched on March 5, 2018, and has since become one of the most popular shonen titles of today. Viz Media is publishing it in English and fans can also read it on Shueisha’s MANGA Plus app for free, but only for most recent chapters.
