Kaguya-sama: Love Is War? (Season 2) Voted As The Anime Of The Year From 2020

The fan voted results of our first Anime of the Year poll for 2020 have put the second season of “Kaguya-sama” on top! The adorable romantic comedy ranked first after votes from 47,323 people, and “Kakushigoto” was a close 2nd. You can also check out the full ranking here.

This was the second season of the show, and it was just as great as the first one. In case you forgot, here are some quick reminders of what we saw:

Obviously these are just a few random moments I have saved, but the whole season was a huge source of content (ask r/animemes). I’m planning to re-watch the whole thing soon as well. In case you’re not familiar with the show, here’s the synopsis:

Known for being both brilliant and powerful, Miyuki Shirogane and Kaguya Shinomiya lead the illustrious Shuchiin Academy as near equals. And everyone thinks they’d make a great couple. Pride and arrogance are in ample supply, so the only logical move is to trick the other into instigating a date! Who will come out on top in this psychological war where the first move is the only one that matters?

Both seasons of the show are available on Funimation, and season 3 has also been officially announced. It doesn’t have a date yet, though a new OVA was also confirmed for this year.
