Kamiina Botan, Yoheru Sugata wa Yuri no Hana Adds Casts Yoshino Aoyama as Ibuki Tonami

Kamiina Botan, Yoheru Sugata wa Yuri no Hana (Botan Kamiina Fully Blossoms When Drunk) anime announced a new cast member on Friday. Yoshino Aoyama will voice Ibuki Tonami. A character visual and trailer were released, and Aoyama shared a comment about the role and the series.

Yoshino Aoyama’s comment:
I’m Yoshino Aoyama, and I’ll be voicing Ibuki Tonami. It’s truly an honor to lend my voice to accompany the lives of Botan and the others, who live within the gently flowing, delicate passage of time. I poured in a lot of passion and care, recording each line with sincerity… and then, of course, I drink! Switching back and forth, between hirezake and shirako… you know, like that! Ahhh!

Sayumi Suzushiro stars in the series as the titular character Botan Kamina. The anime series is based on a manga written and illustrated by Hey. Studio Soigne (mono) is in charge of the animation, and Takashi Sakuma (16bit Sensation: Another Layer) is the director.

The story centers around Kamiina Botan, a 20-year-old college freshman in Chichibu, Saitama, who experienced her first drink after meeting Ibuki Tonami, the leader of her dorm. Botan now spends her time trying different kinds of alcohol.
