Killing Slimes episode 7 has just aired. I’ve Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years and Maxed Out My Level is still a mouthful. Following what happened last week, Azusa needs to come to the rescue once again.
See, after Halkara committed treason by assaulting the demon king, the new plan is to rescue her from execution. Another excellent week of great comedy and surprisingly good animation makes this show a continued must-watch.
In demon land, turns out an act of violence against the king is punishable by death, who knew? Also, the only person who can overturn an execution is the Demon King themselves. Oh, and they are not exactly in a forgiving mood after the attempted assault, mostly because they are unconscious.
So, Azusa decides to work with Beelzebub on a rescue mission. The plan is to wake up the Demon King with some really gross potion. After that, it’s smooth sailing, and to simply beg for forgiveness.
Easy as you like, this plan goes off exactly as you would expect. Chaos ensues because when has anything ever gone right for Azusa. They have to break into the Demon King’s room.
As it turns out, The Demon King is actually really powerful, completely aware of her intrusion even in her sleep. Also, Azusa’s potion looks like poison, and she just tried to make the Demon King drink it in her sleep. So really now it looks like Azusa has tried to kill her, as well as Halkara.
So far in Killing Slimes episode 7 things have not looked great, and now we have to deal with an attempted murder charge. However, the Demon King gives us one last chance to avoid a group death sentence. (How sweet is that?)
If Azusa can beat the Demon King in a duel, then Halakara and herself will be forgiven. If she is to lose, then well, she will be killed on the spot, and it won’t matter. A pretty solid deal for Azusa because if your punishment is death either way, then why not go out with a fight!
Honestly, probably my favorite episode so far from this season, the perfect combination of laughs with great characters wins again. Entertaining from start to finish, and with some unexpected but hilarious twists, this show keeps me on my toes. A wholesome watch please consider this show on your watchlist if it isn’t already.
