The upcoming anime adaptation of Kirio Fan Club has revealed its second key visual ahead of its April 2026 release date. The anime previously revealed its first trailer in December.
The original manga by Chikyu no Osakana Ponchanran from 2022 to 2024 in Ruelle Comics, published by Jitsugyo no Nihon Sha. It ranked 6th in the women’s edition of Kono Manga ga Sugoi! 2024 and 10th in the 2025 edition, placing in the top ten for two consecutive years. The series was also adapted into a live-action drama in April 2025, which received the Galaxy Award Encouragement Prize in the television category.
The official synopsis:
Dear Kirio-kun, I love you.
But I didn’t know…
That loving someone could be this painful.
I really, really love you, Kirio-kun.
I want to eat hamburgers with you.
I want to share an umbrella with you.
I want to smash plates together with you.
I want to go on a journey searching for every mole on your body.
I want the day I met you to be a national holiday.
Aimi and Nami, sharing their thoughts about the person they love—these are their precious moments together. They thought these ordinary days would last forever. But this chain of one-sided feelings is about to change their everyday life.
The anime will appear at AnimeJapan 2026 on March 29 during the PONY CANYON stage event from 10:30 to 11:00 JST. The event will be livestreamed on PONY CANYON’s YouTube anime channel.
Studio Satelite is in charge of the animation, with So Toyama as the director, Aya Satsuki writing the script and Nami Hayashi designing the characters. The previously announced voice cast consists of:

- Shion Wakayama as Nami Sometani
- Yuya Hirose as Mitsuru Manda
- Jin Ogasawara as Hayato Momose
