Popular e-sports-focused VTuber company VSPO! announced on February 16 that it has settled with an unnamed artist accused of infringing on VSPO!’s copyrights by drawing and monetizing sexually explicit artwork of talents across X, Pixiv, Discord, and Patreon. VSPO!’s guidelines explicitly forbid sexual depictions of its talents.
The settlement requires the artist to delete all infringing and defamatory art depicting VSPO! talents and those associated with its group company. The artist must also pay 10 million yen (~$64.5k) in compensation. However, if they immediately pay 4 million yen (~$25.8k) and comply with the above instruction, the remaining payment obligations will be waived.

VSPO!’s statement says it is allowing this reduction in compensation due to the “sincere response of the person in question, including a sincere apology and the voluntary disclosure of all sales revenue from the illustration in question, along with supporting documentation (however, this amount [4 million yen] exceeds the full amount of sales revenue),” the statement adds.
VSPO! adds that its anti-defamation and abuse prevention team is currently identifying further perpetrators and pursuing claims for compensation for several similar acts. “Additionally, we are currently pursuing multiple lawsuits and negotiations against posters, site operators, internet service providers, and platform operators in response to slanderous and libelous comments made against VSPO! talents on social media and websites, and will continue to pursue similar legal proceedings and claims for conpensation (including criminal proceedings in some cases).“
VSPO!’s activities span e-sports, streaming, and other media such as anime and music. The agency and its talents have several million followers across platforms.
