LIAR GAME anime has revealed its Part 2 trailer and a new key visual ahead of its continuation this summer, along with new cast additions and the opening and ending theme songs.
Studio MADHOUSE is in charge of the animation. The adaptation began streaming in April 2026 and is streaming worldwide on Crunchyroll outside Japan and China, with AMEDIATEKA handling distribution in Russia.
The new opening theme is “All in” by Kroi, while muque performs the ending theme, “Still Not Enough.” Both songs are previewed in the latest trailer.
Kroi vocalist Uchida said the opportunity was especially meaningful as a longtime fan of the series.
“I’ve always been a huge fan of LIAR GAME, so I’m truly thrilled to be performing its opening theme! I own the entire manga series, and I was so into it back in middle school that I even played with the special 17 Poker deck that came as a bonus in the drama DVD box set. It’s a series that means a great deal to me personally.
For this song, I wanted to capture the unique sense of tension and unease I felt while reading LIAR GAME, as well as the psychological battles that are never as straightforward as they seem, and express them through Kroi’s sound. Through a beautiful melodic line and a dark, distorted soundscape, I think we were able to create something that reflects the many layers of lies and truth woven throughout the story.
I believe this song is where the world of LIAR GAME and Kroi’s musical identity intersect. I hope you’ll enjoy it alongside the anime.”
muque commented that the ending theme draws inspiration from Akiyama’s emotional state.
“It’s truly an honor for muque to be performing the ending theme for LIAR GAME, a series I was completely hooked on as a student.
‘Still Not Enough’ was inspired by the sense of emptiness and loneliness that lies deep within Akiyama’s heart. We poured those feelings into the word ‘enough’ or rather, the lack of it, when creating this song.
The story becomes even more intense and suspenseful than the first season, and I hope this song can stay with viewers and gently resonate with them long after each episode ends.”
Part 2 also introduces several new participants in the deadly psychological competition, led by Norihiko Yokoya, voiced by Natsuki Hanae. Yokoya is described as a seemingly timid but highly manipulative strategist who uses fear, rewards, and information warfare to control other players.
Additional cast members include:
- Junya Hirano as Kota Akagi
- Tomohiro Yamaguchi as Kenji Ikezoe
- Kengo Tsujii as Yusuke Shibayama
- Reigo Yamaguchi as Kakeru Tajima
- Tatsumaru Tachibana as Akira Tsumura
- Seiyu Fujiwara as Hiroshi Hasegawa
- Kikunosuke Toya as Makoto Murata
- Shinya Takahashi as Tatsuji Wada
Hanae commented on joining the series:
“I’m ecstatic to be playing such an important character in LIAR GAME. I still can’t talk about anything that’s going to happen in the story, but I can say that this role gave me a lot to work with. Playing this character made me eager to explore even more possibilities in my performance, and I had a truly fulfilling time while voice acting. I hope everyone looks forward to seeing what kind of strategies Yokoya will employ to stand in Nao and Akiyama’s way!”
