Kyoto Animation’s Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions anime revealed a key visual for its 10th anniversary. In addition to the visual, a special event, titled “Fall Festival of the Far East Magical Napping Society Summer Thereof” was announced for November 12. The anime originally aired from October 4 to December 19, 2012.
The anime is based on a light novel written by Torako and illustrated by Nozomi Osaka. The light novel was serialized in KA Esuma Bunko from 2011 to 2017 and was compiled into 4 volumes. The first season was followed by a Love, Chunibyo, & Other Delusions! Rikka Version movie (2013), which was a retelling of the TV anime. The second season, titled Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions! Heart Throb, aired during the winter of 2014. Another movie, this time a sequel premiered in 2018. It was titled Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions! Movie: Take On Me. In addition to the main series, the franchise also spawned multiple side stories and a short web anime, titled Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions! Lite. Tatsuya Ishihara directed the adaptations, all of which were animated by studio Kyoto Animation.
Sentai Filmworks licensed the series in North America. Sentai’s HIDIVE is streaming the first season and describes the plot as:
Starting at a new high school, Yuta hopes for a blissful, normal, easygoing existence far from his flawed past. But his new pesky classmate Rikka threatens those hopes when she discovers some of Yuta’s juicy misdeeds.
