The previously announced Love Unseen Beneath the Clear Night Sky anime revealed a new trailer, which shows a July 6 premiere date. The ending theme song was also previewed on the latest trailer, and it is titled “Hikari” by Yui Sakurai from FRUITS ZIPPER. Additionally, Harumi Fuuki, a three-time winner at the Academy Awards in Japan, is composing the soundtrack for the anime.
Comments from Yui Sakurai and Harumi Fuuki were also released.
Yui Sakurai:
I’m still in my first year after making my solo major debut, and I’m truly thrilled to be performing an anime ending theme for the first time. This song captures the fragility and preciousness of the story, and it’s written to reflect Koharu’s sense of purity and sincere emotions. I’d be so happy if listening to it helps you immerse yourself even further in the story.
Harumi Fuuki:
Koharu has this incredible strength that comes from living with everything she’s got. She’s someone who fights for the simple, everyday happiness that feels ordinary. The story unfolds through intimate conversations among a small cast. Using a small ensemble of piano, strings, and woodwinds, I wanted to bring out the strength of each instrument and create music that feels like fireworks—brief, beautiful, and full of energy. Please follow along as Kakeru Sorano and Koharu Fuyutsuki’s gentle, buddingromance takes shape.

The anime is based on a light novel series written by Nanigashi Shima and illustrations provided by raemz. It was launched under SB Creative’s GA Bunko imprint in August 2023 and has two volumes currently available. The plot is as follows:
One spring night, Kakeru Sorano, a university freshman, is dragged by his dormmate Narumi to a welcome party. There, he meets Koharu Fuyutsuki, a blind girl who laughs often and speaks of her dreams; she’s practically the polar opposite of him. From the moment he picks up her white cane after class, the distance between them begins to shrink. “I want to see fireworks,” she says one day. Those words carry a light that Kakeru gazes at directly for the first time. A girl who cannot see and a boy who has shut himself off—this is a delicate love story woven by two people searching for light.
