The cafe shop from the Lycoris Recoil original anime, Café LycoReco, posted on Sunday a “photo” of Takina Inoue dressed in kimono on Twitter. The shop has been posting “photos” of characters even after the anime ended. The new photo came with a caption by Chisato Nishikigi:
Happy new year~🌅
I’m having this year’s first shrine visit with Takina✌️✨
Jeez, Takina is praying for too many wishes lol
The photo taken by Chisato Nishikigi shows Takina Inoue dressed in Kimono and praying for wishes so hard among other visitors.
The official Twitter account of the anime quote-tweeted it and said: “We wish you a happy new year 🎍🌅 We’d appreciate your continued support for #lycoreco and #cafelycoreco this year 🐰✨“
Previously, Café LycoReco posted a selfie of Chisato Nishikigi and Takina Inoue after the finale of the Lycoris Recoil original anime, and in the middle of November a photo of Kurumi enjoying sweets on a tropical island, taken by Mizuki Nakahara. In earlier December, the shop also revealed Takina coming up with new menu items, and on Christmas, Chisato, Takina, and Mizuki held a party.
Studio A-1 Pictures produced the original Lycoris Recoil anime, which aired from July to September 2022. The story was written by Asaura, known for his battles-over-bento-boxes light novel Ben-To, while the characters were designed by Imigimuru, the author of This Art Club Has a Problem manga. Shingo Adachi, who is known as the chief animation director and character designer of the Sword Art Online series, directed the series. Fans voted the anime as Anime Corner’s Best Anime of the Summer 2022 Season, and one of the main characters, Chisato Nishikigi won the Best Girl of the season.
