The latest Puella Magi Madoka Magica game, Magia Exedra, is officially set to launch on Steam on July 17. Originally released for iOS, Android, and Windows on March 27, the game is now expanding to Steam with support for high-quality graphics and cross-platform play. Players will be able to link their mobile data to the Steam version.
Set in the Puella Magi Madoka Magica universe, Magia Exedra is a free-to-play turn-based RPG developed by f4samurai and Pokelabo, with Aniplex handling publishing. The game follows an original story, centered on a Magical Girl who wakes up in a mysterious world called the Exedra with no memory of who she is.

The combat features a turn-based system with a Break Gauge mechanic, and players can form teams of up to five characters. Both original and variant forms of characters appear, including magical girls from different timelines and realities.
The game also has an opening animation produced by SHAFT, with animation support from Pine Jam and LDH. The theme song, “lighthouse,” was composed by Yuki Kajiura and performed by FictionJunction featuring LINO LEIA.

Prior to its original launch in March, Magia Exedra was delayed from 2024 to Spring 2025 to allow for quality improvements. A pre-registration campaign began in January and reached around one million signups by the time of release.
Following the shutdown of Magia Record in July 2024, Aniplex allowed players to transfer their data from the previous title to Magia Exedra, offering in-game rewards for doing so.
