Maho Tsukai ni Narenakatta Onna no Ko no Hanashi (The Stories of Girls Who Couldn’t Be Magicians) has revealed in a new character trailer featuring one of the protagonists, Kurumi Mirai. She is one of the girls aiming to become a magician at Redrun Magic School despite failing the exam for the mage course. Studio J.C. Staff is animating, and the anime will premiere on October 4.

The previous character to get her own trailer was the homeroom teacher, Minami Suzuki. The voice cast consists of the following members:

The main staff for the anime features Takashi Watanabe as the chief director, Masato Matsune as the director, Hiroko Kanasugi in charge of the series composition, Mai Matsuura as the character designer, and Youko Shimomura as the music composer. Puffy performs the opening song “Collage,” while the ending song is “Shunkan Saidai Fusoku” by Halca.
The anime is based on the webnovel by Yuzuki Akasaka, which was published by Everystar from March 2018 to September 2019. The story follows high school girls aiming to become magicians at a magic school despite not passing the exam for its magic course.
