Maho Tsukai ni Narenakatta Onna no Ko no Hanashi (The Story of the Girl Who Couldn’t Become a Wizard) has revealed the first character trailer for the anime, introducing Maki Kumiiru. The anime will premiere on October 4, with studio J.C. Staff in charge of the animation. Maki is voiced by Ayumi Mano, and you can watch her trailer below.
The anime staff is lead by Takashi Watanabe as chief director and Masato Matsune as director, while it also includes Hiroko Kanasugi in charge of the script, Mai Matsura as the character designer, and Yoko Shimomura as the music composer. The voice cast consists of the following members:

- Yui Horie as Minami Suzuki
- Ayumi Mano as Maki Kumiiru

The anime is based Yuzuki Akasaka’s webnovel, which was published by Everystar from March 2018 to September 2019. It was later submitted to Project Anima, a collaboration between DeNA, Sotsu, and Bunka Housou(JOQR) which accepted stories from the general public for potential anime adaptations. The series won in the “Another World/Fantasy” category and got an anime adaptation. The anime recently revealed a second main trailer.

Kurumi Mirai is a clumsy girl who longs to become a wizard,

that has been turning out wizards for generations.
To become a wizard, they must enter Rettoran academy of witchcraft and wizardry.
