Veteran voice Masaki Aizawa is joining the cast of the Undead Girl Murder Farce anime as John Watson. Watson is the a friend and close confidant of Sherlock Holmes, who also appears in the anime and is voiced by Shinichiro Miki. You can check out the character visual for Watson below:
Some of the roles Masaki Aizawa voiced include Wiper in One Piece, Eiji Date in Hajime no Ippo: THE FIGHTING!, Kusanagi Shiyu in X, Gunjo in Bleach, Shinzo Kawashima in Mouryou no Hako, and Kazuyuki Izumi in Kiseijuu: Sei no Kakuritsu. He has voiced several characters in the Death Note series and in Detective Conan.
Previously announced cast members include Tomoyo Kurosawa as Aya Rindo, Taku Yasiro as Tsugaru Shinuchi, Sayumi Suzushiro as Anna Kerber and Makoto Koichi as Shizuku Hasei. Studio Lapintrack is animating the series and premieres this July. The staff for the anime includes:

The Undead Girl Murder Farce anime is based on a currently ongoing novel series by Yugo Aosaku. Air Gear and Tenjo Tenge author (also known as Bakemonogatari artist), Oh! great did the cover illustrations. A manga adaptation by Haruka Tomoyama is also ongoing. Kodansha is publishing the manga in English and there are currently three volumes out: the last one came out in 2021.
Crunchyroll will be streaming the Undead Girl Murder Farce anime as part of their Fuji TV +Ultra partnership. The streaming platform describes the plot as:
The 19th century — a world inhabited by vampires, golems, werewolves and other paranormal creatures. Immortal beauty and disembodied head Aya Rindo, along with half-human-half-demon “Demon Killer” Tsugaru Shunichi and her loyal maid Shizuku Hasei, travels through Europe as supernatural detective “The Cage User,” solving supernatural mysteries while she searches for her lost body.
