The upcoming Masamune-kun’s Revenge Season 2 released the first trailer along with information for the opening theme song, the additional cast members, and the broadcast date. Studio Furyu is animating the adaptation and the premiere date is set for spring 2023. The project was announced in April 2022.
Ayaka Ohashi, known as the voice actress of Uzuki Shimamura in The Idolmaster franchise and Aki Adagaki in the Masamune-kun’s Revenge anime, is performing the opening theme song titled “Please, please!” The newly-posted first trailer, which also features the theme song, is available on Furyu’s official YouTube channel below:
The anime unveiled additional cast members; Miku Ito, known for her roles as Miku Nakato in The Quintessential Quintuplets and Kokkoro in Princess Connect! franchise is voicing a young French girl, Muriel Besson, who is aspiring to become a manga artist. Yasuyuki Kase, known as Kankuro in Naruto series and Simon in Fairy Tail, is voicing the character’s brother Frank Besson with a heavy sister complex.
Hazuki Takeoka serialized Masamune-kun’s Revenge manga with art by Tiv in Ichijinsha’s Monthly ComicREX from 2012 to 2018. The series released the final, 11th volume in April 2019. The manga inspired an anime adaptation by SILVER LINK. which aired from January to March 2017 with a total of 12 episodes. The manga’s 10th volume special edition compiles an original animation disc in February 2018. Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the manga in English; all 11 volumes have been published.
