Masayoshi Oishi and PelleK Cover One Piece Uta's Song on CrosSing

Japanese singer and songwriter, Masayoshi Oishi and Norwegian singer PelleK joined forces to cover Ado’s “Watashi wa Saikyou (I’m invincible)” on the CrosSing channel. “Watashi wa Saikyou” was a vocal song from the movie One Piece Film: Red. It was sung by Ado, who provided the singing voice for the character, Uta. The song was number two on the Billboard Japan Hot 100. Oishi and PelleK teamed up and brought a powerful cover version of the song that was bursting and full of energy. Fans can watch and listen to this cover on CrosSing’s official YouTube channel.

Masayoshi Oishi is a Japanese musician, singer, and songwriter. He made his debut as a musician in 2001 as the vocalist and guitarist for a band called Sound Schedule. He made his solo debut in 2008. In 2013, he formed a Japanese musical group called OxT with guitarist and composer Tomohiro Oshima, or Tom-H@ck. Oishi has written, composed, and even sung songs for various anime such as Monthly Girls’ Nozaki-kun, SSS. DYNAZENON, and Kemono Friends. He is famous in the anisong community for his songs.

PelleK is a Norwegian singer, songwriter, and YouTuber. He started to cover Japanese songs in 2013 and has covered several songs since then including Attack on Titan, Jujutsu Kaisen, Oishi no Ko, and more. In 2022, he sang the opening song for Skeleton Knight In A Another World, “Aa, Waga, ROman no Michi yo.” Several of his cover songs can be found on PelleK’s official YouTube channel.

CrosSing is a project that aims to bring people together from various fields, such as Voice actors, Vtubers, anime singes, etc., and cover a song. The project has invited several performers in the past, such as fhána, Yusuke Kobayashi, Yu Ishikawa, and more. Masayoshi Oishi and PelleK were the latest artists to cover a song for the project. All the songs that were covered held a special meaning to the performers.
