Medalist has been published in Kodansha’s Monthly Afternoon magazine since May 2020 and has been collected in 8 volumes. The series won the 68th Shogakukan Manga Award for the Best General Manga category in 2023. Kodansha USA holds the licenses for North America and announced that the series will receive a print release in 2024. The Medalist manga was written and illustrated by Tsurumaikada, with Studio ENGI animating and Yasutaka Yamamoto directing the Medalist anime. Yasutaka is joined by Jukki Hanada (series composition and screenplay) and Chinatsu Kameyama (anime character design).

Kodansha USA describes the manga:
Tsukasa, whose dreams were crushed. Inori, left to fend for herself. These two share a dream…and their tenacity may be the only thing that sees them through. Their destination? The ice…on the world’s stage!
