Urusei Yatsura Season 2‘s additional cast members have been revealed ahead of its upcoming January 2024 premiere, alongside new character visuals. Joining the cast, are:
- M.A.O (Iris, Fire Force) as Asuka
- Toshiharu Sakurai (Tompa, Hunter x Hunter 2011) as Asuka’s dad
- Kotono Mitsuishi (Usagi Tsukino, Sailor Moon) as Asuka’s mom
Urusei Yatsura also dropped a special trailer, recapping all the girls that the protagonist Ataru Moroboshi loves:
The staff was previously announced alongside a visual. David Production is animating the series once again with Hideya Takahashi and Yasuhiro Kimura as chief directors. Urusei Yatsura‘s season 2 cast members will reprise their roles from the first seasn. The anime is based on Rumiko Takahashi’s Urusei Yatsura, published in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine from 1978 to 1987. The series spanned 34 volumes and received an initial anime adaptation in 1981. Urusei Yatsura is one of the best-selling manga of all time with over 35 million sales.
