Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation received a special guide book that features in-depth explanations about the plot setting, characters, design and art choices, but also an illustration gallery, an interview with the author Rifujin na Magonote and illustrator Shirotaka, and a new short story. The book is available only in Japanese and can be previewed and bought on the BookWalker website. The cover with a new Rudeus illustration has been revealed:
Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation is a light novel by Rifujin na Magonote and Shirotaka (illustrator). A manga adaptation by Yuka Fujikawa is also ongoing. The light novel received an anime adaptation by Studio Bind, which aired in two cours throughout 2021. The first cour aired in the Winter anime season, while the second started in the Fall season. The franchise also recently got an announcement for a sequel – season 2. A special OAD episode titled “Eris the Goblin Slayer” also recently premiered.
Seven Seas is publishing the light novel in English and describes the plot as:
Kicked out by his family and wandering the streets, an unemployed 34-year-old shut-in thinks he’s hit rock-bottom—just as he’s hit and killed by a speeding truck!
