With deer spotted on every continent including Antarctica, the deergeddon is now in its third week. And to further stoke the invasion of the deer, My Deer Friend Nokotan revealed the preview for episode 3. Titled “Bashame Admission,” the episode will see the addition of new members to Hinominami High School’s Deer Club this Sunday on July 21. One is Koshitan’s sis-con imouto, Anko, and the other is a strange new girl who wants to become a deer.
As part of episode 3’s preview, the official website for My Deer Friend Nokotan released preview images, while a teaser video was posted on Twin Engine’s YouTube profile. Keen viewers more than likely realized that the 0:33 second mark of the video includes peak brain rot, so the moment we’ve been waiting for is finally upon us.
Based on Oshioshio’s manga of the same name, My Deer Friend Nokotan is summer 2024’s peak comedy. Simulcasting on Anime Onegai, ADN, Amazon Prime, and Crunchyroll, the show is animated by WIT Studio. The show is produced by Twin Engine and Dentsu, with Masahiko Oota serving as the show’s director. The voice cast for the show includes;

My Deer Friend Nokotan tells the story of Torako “Koshitan” Koshi, a former delinquent desperately trying to turn her life around by becoming a model student and neighborhood girl. One day, as she walks to school, she stumbles on a human/hybrid deer hanging from telephone wires. As she’s coerced to help this strange being, instead of gratitude, the deer/human hybrid named Nokotan calls her bluff as she knows she’s a delinquent. Worst still is that Nokotan enrolls in her class as an exchange student and poses an existential crisis to Torako’s well-crafted facade.
