It’s been so long since the deer began their uprising that I can’t even remember a world before the shikanokonokokoishtantan. And the situation is poised to worsen as My Deer Friend Nokotan previewed episode 9, before its Wednesday 28 air date. In this episode, Hinominami High School will host its annual sports festival. And as the student council president, Koshitan desperately wants everything to go smoothly. But, several mysterious incidents—which may or may not be linked to deer—unfold. Will the festival proceed without a hitch?

What happens when you merge a deer and a human? You end up with the peak form of primate evolution! And that’s what former delinquent and current honor roll student Torako “Koshitan” Koshi has to deal with daily. After being coerced into saving a deer/human hybrid as she walks to school one day, she inadvertently ends up introducing the biggest source of stress into her ideal life. Instead of a thank you, the deer/human hybrid does her best to relentlessly pester the poor Koshitan at every given turn. Will Koshitan ever get back the slow and peaceful days she lost?
