The anime adaptation of My Dress-Up Darling has received a new visual. CloverWorks will be producing the series under the direction of Keisuke Shinohara.

Production

Keisuke Shinohara is directing My Dress-Up Darling at studio CloverWorks. Yoriko Tomita will be in charge of the series composition and script. Meanwhile, Kazumasa Ishida will be the character designer and animation director. On the other hand, Takeshi Nakatsuka will be in charge of the music along with sound director Akiko Fujita.

CloverWorks is also known for producing Shadows House, The Promised Neverland, Horimiya, and much more.

My Dress-Up Darling Synopsis

Young Gangan magazine is publishing the “Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru” manga since January 19, 2018. Square Enix Manga is also publishing the series in English as “My Dress-Up Darling” since April 14, 2020.

A loner boy and a flashy girl find common ground via cosplay in this sweet and spicy romcom!

Traumatized by a childhood incident with a friend who took exception to his love of traditional dolls, doll-artisan hopeful Wakana Gojou passes his days as a loner, finding solace in the home ec room at his high school.

To Wakana, people like beautiful Marin Kitagawa, a trendy girl who’s always surrounded by a throng of friends, is practically an alien from another world. But when cheerful Marin–never one to be shy–spots Wakana sewing away one day after school, she barges in with the aim of roping her quiet classmate into her secret hobby: cosplay! Will Wakana’s wounded heart be able to handle the invasion from this sexy alien?!
