Marin Shows Off Her Cosplays in My Dress-Up Darling Sequel Anime's First Visual

My Dress-Up Darling sequel anime revealed the first teaser visual, with further information to be released later. The key staff is also returning from the first season. The anime previously confirmed a 2025 release date through the Young Gangan magazine cover.

My Dress-Up Darling – Sequel Anime Visual

Shinichi Fukuda writes the My Dress-Up Darling manga, which is published by Square Enix in both Japanese and English. Its anime adaptation began with a TV anime by CloverWorks. The 12-episode series aired in Winter 2022, with the voice cast including:

  • Hina Suguta as Marin Kitagawa
  • Shouya Ishige as Wakana Gojo
  • Atsumi Tanezaki as Sajuna Inui
  • Hina Youmiyama as Shinju Inui
  • Atsushi Ono as Kaoru Gojo
  • Nowa Sugaya as Larissa Tago Takeda
  • Misaki Kuno as Liz
  • Sakura Tange as Mirai Tengeji
  • Akira Sekine as Rune
  • Yusuke Shirai as Kaname

Keisuke Shinohara is also returning to direct the My Dress-Up Darling anime, with the rest of the main staff back as well. It will feature series composition by Yoriko Tomita, character designs by Yusuke Yamamoto and Kazumasa Ishida, and music by Takeshi Nakatsuka. Crunchyroll is streaming it.

In our Winter 2022 Anime Awards, My Dress-Up Darling was voted Best New Anime, while Marin and Gojo were voted Best Girl and Best Boy of the season, respectively. Hina Suguta also won Best Female Seiyuu for her role as Marin.

My Dress-Up Darling Anime Visual | Sequel Set for 2025 Release Date

The story follows Wakana Gojo, a high school boy with the goal to become a kashirashi, a master craftspan of Japanese Hina dolls just like his grandfather. He meets Marin Kitagawa, one of the popular girls in schools, whose passion is cosplaying. Now Wakana crafts incredible costumes for Marin, as the two break through the cosplay season while slowly growing feelings towards each other.

The franchise also got a TV drama adaptation this year.
