Episode 6 preview of My Happy Marriage has been revealed, and the upcoming episode titled “Determination and Thunder” is set to release on Wednesday, August 9 on Netflix worldwide. Takushi Koid (Revue Starlight episodes 3,10, & 12) is directing and handling the 6th episode with Takahito Onishi (Shadows House episodes 3,7, 12) writing the script.
Reina Ueda is voicing the main heroine Miyo Saimori while Kaito Ishikawa plays the role of Kiyoka Kudo. Kinema Citrus is animating the series with Evan Call composing the music. Shoko Yasuda is adapting the character designs from the light novel written by Akumi Agitogi.
The light novel was initially published on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website. Fujimi L Bunko later acquired the title in January 2019 with illustrations provided by Tsukiho Tsukioka. Yen Press is licensing the novel in English and describes the plot as:
Born talentless to a noble family famous for their supernatural abilities, Miyo Saimori is forced into an existence of servitude by her abusive stepmother. When Miyo finally comes of marriageable age, though, her hopes of being whisked away to a better life crumble after she discovers her fiancé’s identity: Kiyoka Kudou, a commander apparently so cold and cruel that his previous would-be brides all fled within three days of their engagements. With no home to return to, Miyo resigns herself to her fate—and soon finds that her pale and beautiful husband-to-be is anything but the monster she expected. As they slowly open their hearts to each other, both realize the other may be their chance at finding true love and happiness.
