My Hero Academia manga author Kohei Horikoshi posted an illustration of the series’ protagonist Izuku Midoriya, also known as his nickname Deku, to celebrate the My Hero Academia Season 6 premiere, which took place today. The tweet came with a caption: “Today, Saturday at 5:30 in the evening, My Hero Academia anime begins broadcasting.“
The newly released illustration shows a student of Class-A at U.A. High School, Izuku Midoriya in three panels. The aspiring hero covers his arms with slime, while his classmate Shoto Todoroki is checking the camera. In the second panel, Midoriya jumps down to a lower place, and lastly, he lands on the ground, showing his muscular arms and back, looking back at the cameraman who is standing in the higher place, and thus a photo is taken. The written text says “Anime Today In the Evening 5:30!” about the airing date and time of the anime’s sixth season.
Daiki Yamashita, the voice actor of Izuku Midoriya, quote-tweeted the post on the day: “It finally begins today.“
