The My New Boss is Goofy (Atarashi Joshi wa Do Tennen) anime has released a new trailer and visual alongside its October 7 premiere date. A-1 Pictures is animating the series under the direction of Noriyuki Abe. The theme songs include “PLANETARIA” by Fujifabric as the opening, and “Hanataba” by Lenny code fiction as the ending.
Masahiro Yokotani will do the series composition, while Takahiro Yasuda is both the character designer and chief animation director. Meanwhile, Masato Nakayama is composing the music and Jin Aketagawa is the sound director. The cast includes:
- Kotaro Nishiyama as Kentaro Momose
- Yuichiro Umehara as Yusei Shirosaki
- Tomokazu Sugita as Mitsuo Aoyama
- Hiro Shimono as Hakuto
- Jun Fukuyama as Satoshi Kinjo
My New Boss Is Goofy anime is based on a manga series written and illustrated by Dan Ichikawa. It has been published on Akita Shoten’s online manga platform Manga Cross since February 2019.
The manga follows the story of Momose, a 26-year-old office worker, who decided to switch jobs due to the harassment he experienced from his previous boss. As he starts his new job, he carries the concern that his new boss might subject him to similar harassment. This makes his life unbearable once again and he tries to conceal his anxiety as he meets his new boss, Shirosaki. To his astonishment, he discovers that Shirosaki is an innate airhead, who effortlessly alleviates all of Momose’s worries and concerns.
