Yoshihiro Togashi has been drawing the Hunter x Hunter manga since March 1998. It is serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, having returned after a 4-year hiatus in October 2022.

Since then, there have been irregular releases, and the manga was confirmed to be moving away from a weekly schedule in December 2022. It released Volume 38 on September 4 in Japan, while Chapter 401 was released in the WSJ magazine on October 7. The manga is now on break again, with Togashi recently sharing new health issues.

Crunchyroll streams the anime, describing the story:
Gon, a young boy who lives on Whale Island, dreams of becoming a Hunter like his father, who left when Gon was still young.
