Koyoharu Gotoge wrote and illustrated the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba manga. It was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from February 2016 to May 2020, getting compiled into a total of 23 volumes.

The anime adaptation began with a 26-episode Season 1, which aired from April to September 2019. Following its huge success, the sequel movie, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train followed in October 2020 and probably began the entire anime movie boom.

The movie was then re-edited and shown as part of the 18-episode Season 2, which aired from October 2021 to February 2022. The 11-episode Season 3 aired from April to June 2023, while Season 4 aired from May to June 2024 and set the stage for the endgame.

An Infinity Castle Arc movie trilogy is now in production, with the first movie set to premiere in 2025. A sequel game titled Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Hinokami Chronicles 2 is also in production and set to release next year.
