Nights with a Cat anime released preview images and synopsis for episode 1 and 2 along with the streaming information. Episode 1 will be available on YouTube, with the premiere happening on August 3 at 8 p.m. in Japan, ahead of the anime’s first and second episodes’ broadcast scheduled for the same day.
Ayahi Takagaki (Kuro in the Blue Exorcist series) is voicing the cat Kyuryuga, Satoshi Hino (Ainz Ooal Gown/Momon in the Overlord series) is playing the role of Futa-kun, and Atsumi Tanezaki (Anya Forger in the Spy x Family series) will voice Futa-kun‘s sister Pi-chan in the anime.
The first episode is titled “The Day a Cat Came to My Home”, and it’s described as follows:
Futa-kun’s sister and cat Kyuryuga moved into Futa-kun’s house. Futa-kun has never been involved with cats, so he is curious about the mysterious cat who makes him find even more mysterious as they spend more time. His everyday life full of discoveries now begins.
The second episode titled “Clings to Me Hard When I Get Home” is introduced as:
One day late at night, Futa-kun realizes when he gets home that Kyuryuga is waiting for him behind the door. With a meow in the strongest affectionate state, Kyuryuga attacks him…
The first episode will begin streaming on August 3 on YouTube.

Nights with a Cat is a manga essay written and illustrated by Kyuryu Z, published by KADOKAWA. The series has 3 compiled volumes as of April 28, 2022. Studio PuYUKAI (Isekai Quartet series) is producing the anime with Minoru Ashina‘s direction and scripts.
